WEEK 8 - Pitch Deck Presentation

It's presentation day and all the teams are preparing for their pitch deck presentation slides. The presentation started a little late because we thought the time for the presentation would start at one in the afternoon. But there was a mistake in the schedule, instead of one in the afternoon, we already started at two-thirty. While waiting for the presentation, I review my slides and my script making sure that there are no spelling mistakes during my presentation.

The presentation schedule came and we were the first group to present. Although none of my teammates appeared as I presented my slides, it did not bother me and I still went on with the presentation. Everything went well. I was able to say what I have to say about my slides and all the information I needed to share without going beyond the time limit of five minutes.

After the presentation comes to the deliberation of my pitch deck. I was confident enough that I did almost the correct presentation but I was wrong. There were so many errors and missing slides that I should have added. Aside from that, the judges were not able to understand what my pitch deck was or how it works.

After the deliberation, I have realized that I should have watched the presentation that they have made earlier and followed the rules of creating a proper pitch deck. I got carried away thinking that it is alright to follow other pitch deck formats. About the clarity of my presentation, I have a hunch that my idea was not clear enough that I should have added some sample images of the program or idea works. Next time I will follow the instructions of creating a proper pitch deck and make my presentation more clear.

The bits of advice from the judges are very useful to me and will greatly improve my pitch deck presentation in the coming finals.
