WEEK 11 - Minimum Viable Product, Launching and Traction

For this week we are making our Minimum Viable Product, Launching and Traction. The MVP is a version of a product with just enough features to be usable by early customers who can then provide feedback for future product development. The goal of MVP is to avoid lengthy and (ultimately) unnecessary work by iterating on working versions and responding to feedback, challenging and validating assumptions about a product's requirements.

In creating our Minimum Viable Product, we have decided to use a platform called Figma. Figma allows you to create designs and mock-ups of your desired application by using text, shapes, colors, images, and important tools that are available on the platform. Not only that, once you are done creating the mock-up designs you can animate them just like how it would like in the actual device once it is installed. It was easy to use and very intuitive in terms of functions and the availability of tools for prototyping.

After signing up for an account at Figma, the first thing we design was the login and signup page for our application. This is the first thing the user sees once they open the application. The next thing we made was the dashboard. The dashboard contains all the recipes the user has added as well as the add recipe and profile buttons. The add recipe and edit recipe have the same functionality wherein users can edit the scale of each recipe.

Aside from the Minimum Viable Product, we also build a Facebook page for our application. The likes, messages, comments, and other metrics that we will collect from this page will serve as our traction metrics. This will allow us to gauge how will the public will react to our product. So far we have only gather a few likes and comments for our application. But it has only been a few days since we have created a page for our application. Nevertheless it will grow overtime as people will get to know more our product and with the help of advertising.
