WEEK 4 - Talking to Users and Value Hypothesis
For this week, we continue looking for respondents for our ideas. We are doing this so that we can collect enough data to support our ideas because later on, we will pick one idea that will represent our team and this idea needs to be tested for relevance among our targeted audience. It would be hard to push an idea if there is no market for it or if the idea does not seem to solve an actual problem. As of now, we have gathered enough respondents but still, we continue looking for other participants for our ideas.
After these interviews is a collection of their responses and then makes a hypothesis out of their responses. To make a hypothesis there is this thing called 'testing and learning cards' which was introduced during the week four lecture courtesy of the Center for Entrepreneur and Technology Facebook page. Knowing this makes it easier to create hypotheses just by completing the given sentences. This gives us a clear understanding of what our goals are, what the user wants, what we are trying to solve, and what the users think of our idea.
As of now, we have created our first draft of the hypothesis using the partial data that we have collected. After doing this we have found out that some ideas are not viable or do not solve any kind of problem. We have then narrowed down our possible idea to pitch and that is the Recipe Converter App. But further interviews are needed to verify if there is a demand for this product or idea.
