WEEK 2 - Micro Screening Matrix

This week we have conducted the Micro Screening Matrix. This activity aims to gather different ideas from each member of our team. The ideas that we have generated are then ranked from 1 to 5 base on the availability of materials, skills, ease of implementation and, capital.

Before we start the micro screening matrix, the team has already decided that we limit our ideas base on the availability of our audience because there is still a pandemic going on and we cannot conduct a wide-scale face-to-face interview. We then decided to focus more on generating ideas that could benefit students and individuals in general.

After that, we have gathered at least 5 ideas. Each of them is then ranked and pick the top 3 ideas. The first idea is the Recipe Converter App. This app can convert recipe measurements base on the amount of multiplier you give it. Though this idea may be simple at least it tries to solve the problem of manually converting recipes which would greatly improve someones cooking confidence.

The second idea that our team suggested is the ReFocus App. Due to the pandemic, we are in students are required to do online classes and modules as a means to continue their education, however, they tend to forget their modules and other school activities because they are not in the classroom anymore and they are free to do what they want during their free time. As are a result, we have come up with ReFocus, an app usage reminder. It allows students to monitor their specific app usage by reminding them how much they have spent on an app.

The third idea we have chosen is the Mobile Data Monitor app. Our team has noticed that prepaid data users always have a limited budget for data. Sometimes they tend to forget how much data they already have consumed because they already used it for other tasks like mobile gaming and entertainment. As a result, activities like online classes are neglected.

To prevent this kind of scenario, we created the Mobile Data monitor app. It helps students to monitor their data consumption with ease. They can also view mobile data promo information for all networks. At the same time, they can also register or cancel their current promo just by clicking the register or cancel button.
